Payment Terms
• All initial requests can be held provisionally for 2 weeks, after which time they will be released back into the inventory for re-sale if not confirmed
• A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation
• Bookings will not be confirmed without a deposit
• Final balance for all charges is due 60 days prior to guest’s arrival
Cancellation Policy
• Over 60 days from arrival – No penalty
• Within 60 days of arrival – 50% cancellation fee
• Within 30 days of arrival – 75% cancellation fee
• Within 14 days of arrival – 100% cancellation fee
Excluding the Timbavati Nature Reserve conservation levy, which is fully refundable

EXCLUSIVE USE / GROUP BOOKINGS
Any booking with 3 or more suites is treated as a group by Makanyi and will have different payment and cancellation terms as listed below. The same applies for an Exclusive Use (EU) takeover of the property and will adhere to these conditions. If an Exclusive Use downsizes and no longer wishes to pay the EU rate, then the group terms will be applicable to any cancelled rooms. The EU/Group T&Cs will also apply for bookings that fall within our festive season date range. All groups are on a request basis. Please contact our reservations department for a quote and availability.

POSTPONEMENTS
• If a postponement occurs within the cancellation policy timeframe, the terms of the cancellation policy will still apply.

NO SHOW & EARLY DEPARTURE
• Clients who do not show will be charged for the entire length of stay
• Clients who depart prior to confirmed departure date are not entitled to any refund

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING

FORCE MAJEURE
Makanyi will not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, or civil unrest. In such cases, management will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative travel dates or a credit for future stays.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly advise that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering: trip cancellation, medical emergencies, personal liability, loss of personal belongings. While we aim to be as supportive as possible, all bookings remain subject to our Terms & Conditions.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Total prepayment covering all agreed services is due sixty (60) days prior to arrival, by EFT, or ask our reservations department to supply you with a payment link from our online payment platform Pay Genius (AMEX is accepted). Please note, failure to pre-pay 60 days prior to arrival may result in cancellation of your guests booking. (festive season pre-payment / cancellation is 60 days in advance). Settling a booking with the Pay Genius payment link will be subject to a 5% surcharge. Ideally, bookings should be settled via EFT. The full invoiced amount of all deposits and payments (including VAT) must clear in our account; kindly ensure that all bank charges are deducted from your account.

• A 50% supplement will apply per single use on the per person sharing rate.
• The single supplement rate will be waived for 1 single in a group booking of 3 Suites (min 5 pax).
